The park consists of 30 acres of secondary growth rainforest which is a haven for both sloths and a large variety of birds due to the type of flora that thrives there. The trails are flat and well-manicured, and the route is only 2 km (1.2 mi) long. An easy way to explore nature in Costa Rica for the whole family. Guided Sloth & Bird Tour Includes:

Restrictions: This is a very family friendly walking trail, however you do need to be able to navigate slightly uneven terrain in areas for a distance of 2km. If you have other physical limitations, please contact us and we can see if we can accommodate your needs.

Insider Tip: If you have young ones and the idea of dragging them through the trails of the Arenal Volcano National Park seems a bit daunting, this is the perfect alternative. These are still sloths in their natural environment. That environment just happens to be right in town, and on a great flat trail! This is our favorite for people traveling with multigenerational families. Everyone will be comfortable, no heights like the hanging bridges, but still lots of wildlife for everyone.
