Tour Description

Not your average Costa Rica shuttle service, our Van Boat Van Lake Crossing is by far is the fastest yet most scenic way to travel between the Arenal Volcano and the cloud forests of Monteverde or vice versa. The name pretty much sums up how the service works.

1.- You are picked up from your hotel in a van and driven to Lake Arenal.
2.- You board our comfortable passenger ferry for a scenic ride across Lake Arenal with spectacular views.
3.- Our van will be waiting for you on the other side to take you to your final destination.

It is that easy!! This transfer operates in either direction and you get great views of the Arenal Volcano allowing you postcard photo ops. Total travel time is between 3 and 3.5 hours shaving just a bit of time off the standard transfer between La Fortuna and Monteverde.

Van Boat Van shuttle service is priced per person. If you have a group or prefer to travel in your own vehicle, we offer private Van Boat Van Arenal Lake Crossing service for groups up to 18 passengers.

Children: There is not a minimum age and children pay the same price as an adult.

Insider Tip: This service is optimal when the climate is drier between December and April, during the green season, be prepared to get a little wet.
