PADI Confined Water Diving Course - Pool Session at the Dive Shop in Playa del Coco
Upon arrival to our PADI 5 Star dive shop in Playa del Coco, you will meet your instructor and fill out a medical questionnaire required by PADI. Here you will get fitted for all the necessary equipment you will need for your Discover Scuba Diving course. Once you are all geared up, we will head to a pool to practice your newly learned skills in shallow water.
Your PADI scuba instructor will spend a little time with you above water and explain the basic principles of scuba diving and the scuba gear you will be using. During your pool session, you'll master some basic concepts and diving skills necessary to dive in the open water the following day.
Discover Scuba Diving Papagayo
The next morning we will meet at the dive shop in Playa del Coco along with the rest of the certified divers. And off we go to explore the amzing underwater world in the Gulf of Papagayo! Our Discover Scuba course includes 2 boat dives. You will spend around 40 minutes of bottom time each depending how well you manager your breathing. Your instructor will first accompany you on a short dive to depths up to 40 feet (12 meters) where your Costa Rica scuba diving experience really begins!!
As you drift along, don't besurprised if you start to hum the Beatles' tune "Octopus's Garden". Your dive instructor will help you spot sea turtles, eels, octopus, mantas, hundreds of tropical fish and maybe even a white tip shark !! Your second dive will be to the next best diving spots in Papagayo based on the weather conditions. Not to worry, our PADI dive instructors will guide you safely through Costa Rica's underwater paradise.

PADI Discover Scuba Diving or PADI Refresher Course in Playa del Coco Details
Discover Scuba Course in Papagayo Includes:

Departures: Confimed water training is at 1pm at the resort pool. Your 2 tank dive departs the following day from Playa del Coco daily at 7:30 am. Exact meeting instructions will be provided on your confirmation voucher you will receive via email within 24 hours of booking.
Length: Pool training is is about 2 hours, from 1pm to 3pm daily. The 2 tank dive is approximately 5 hours depending on the number of dive sites you visit.
PADI Discover Scuba Diving Course in Papagayo Recommendations:

Children: Minimum age for Discover Scuba is 12 years old.
Restrictions: You must be in good physical health and complete the PADI Diver Medical Questionnaire to be able to participate in any local diving trips in Papagayo.
Important note: Already certified? Have you been diving in the last year? If not, you will be required to complete this PADI Refresher course prior to joining the certified local diving. We take your safety very seriously. It is very important for your safety and the safety of those diving with you that you have a chance to refresh your memory by refreshing your skills in a controlled pool environment before heading out to open water.
Insider Tip: The cool thing about taking a discover scuba resort course? If you fall in love with diving (and there is a good change you will), you can come back and dive with the same dive shop for the rest of the trip without having to take the confined water lesson again. So keep that in mind. You may want to schedule diving at the beginning of your trip. That way you have time to come back for more!
