Children: This is a long day for little ones, but children ages 3 to 6 years old pay a discounted rate.
Restrictions: You will need to be able to walk on uneven terrain, possibly with wet and muddy conditions for up to 3 hours. There are stairs to access the Rio Celeste Waterfalls you will need to navigate as well. If you have any mobility limitations, please advise us prior to booking and we will assess if we can accommodate you comfortably.
*Important Note: Tenorio Volcano National Park and the Rio Secreto hike can get VERY muddy at times. For your convenience, rubber boot rentals are available at the park entrance for rent. Trust us. The few extra bucks to rent them is well worth not having wet muddy shoes on the rest of your Costa Rica vacation.

Insider Tip: The best time to visit Rio Celeste Costa Rica is between December to April, the dry season. The hike is amazing, but let’s be real. We go there for the azure blue river resembling a cocktail made with Blue Curacao, not a chocolate milk which is what it looks like during the intense rainy season. If you are visiting Costa Rica during the Green Season, ask us for the conditions prior to booking.
Important Booking Note: This tour operates with a minimum of 5 people. If you are a group of less than 5 people, you will need to contact us to check availability or get a quote for a private tour option.
Important Booking Note for Costa Rica's National Parks: Spaces are very limited to visit the park, so we need to purchase your entrance in advance. When placing your booking, we will need to know the full name, passport number, and country issuing passport for every participant. For this purpose, we cannot accept last minute bookings for this tour.
