Children: Minimum age to participate in the Vista Los Sueños Horseback riding tour is 4 years old. Children ages 4 to 6 can ride with their parents.
Restrictions: No prior horseback experience is necessary. Our horses are calm and well trained for tourists of all skill levels. As we are in jungle trails, we do not allow you to run the horses either. However, we do have weight limit of 118 kg (260 lbs.) for the safety of the horses. Also, if you have a back injury or chronic back pain, horseback riding in Costa Rica is not recommended in general.
Insider Tip: Horseback riding in Jaco is really one of the best way to explore the rainforest and have a chance to see wildlife. This is because you are riding your horses silently through the forest. There is a really good chance you can encounter toucans, macaws and even white-faced monkeys anywhere along the trail. The waterfall is great, but there is no place to change. So you will definitely want to wear you suit under your pants. We also suggest you bring a change of clothes for after so you are not stuck in wet clothes. There are even showers in case you encounter rain showers and need a good rinse after the mud.
