Departures: Tours depart 30 minutes after your ship arrives. Departure varies depending on your cruise ship itinerary. Be sure to include which cruise ship you will be arriving on along with your ship's arrival and departure time on the reservation. Exact meeting times and location will be provided on your confirmation voucher.

Children: This shore excursion is great for couples and adventurous families. For safety purposes the minimum age to ride in the jungle buggy is 6 years old.

Important Note: Buggies hold 2, 3 or 4 persons. Driver must have a current driver’s license and present a valid credit card as a guarantee for any damage to the vehicle. Maximum weigh for companions 180 pounds. Pricing is based on a minimum of 2 passengers per buggy. If you wish to drive your own buggy, you will need to pay a supplement fee of $65 cash on the day of the tour.
Cruise Ship Passengers! All tours run on local time. Costa Rica runs on Central Standard Time, however they do not observer Daylight Savings Time. Be sure to check with your ship to confirm your actual arrival time in Costa Rica is CST and not ship time. When in doubt, disembark and ask a local!
Insider Tip: Carara Adventure Park is private land adjacent to the Carara National Park. You will have a great chance of seeing some of the famous Scarlett Macaws that call this region of Costa Rica home. If you visit us during the sunny season (December to March), be sure to bring your swimming attire and dive into the nearly private Bolinche Beach.
