Children: This is a wonderful activity in Jaco for the whole family. Children ages 3 to 10 pay a discounted rate including food and beverages and all age-appropriate activities. Babies 0 to 2 are free, but no meals are included so please pack your own. We do have smaller life vests for the younger ones, but we always recommend you bring your own if you have it.
Restrictions: There is no pier at Playa Fantasia, so you need to have good mobility to be able to get in and out of the panga boat to get on shore or participate in snorkeling activities.
Insider Tip: Of course, Isla Tortuga is the most popular beach destination for day trips in Costa Rica. But, if you are lucky enough to be staying in Jaco, Playa Fantasia is a great alternative and does not take a full day to get out there and back. Sleep in, have a wonderful day, and get back in time to shower and nap before dinner. The beach is gorgeous, there are no crowds typically, and the snorkeling is great most of the year. (Rainy season it can be a bit murky and turbulent, but there are so many other ways to enjoy the day you won’t even miss it.)
