Q: How many passengers can the Interbus Shuttle fit with and without luggage?
A: Keeping your comfort in mind, "The Real Deal Tours" ensures there is always room for both you and your luggage. A 15 passenger vehicle is provided and when there is luggage involved, we allow only 8 passengers on board. For larger groups, a bus will be provided with only half the spaces filled with passengers and the other half with your belongings. Legroom is priority when traveling!
Q: If using the shuttle, where is my luggage stored?
A: Understanding the importance and concern for security, we store your belongings inside the vehicle. Roof racks are utilized only for oversized baggage such as surfboards.
Q: What type of insurance is included when using the car rental service with the Free Pass?
A: Basic insurance is mandatory and included in your rental. However, for an additional cost, we offer optional but recommended, Full Cover Insurance. When booking your vehicle, ask your rep for details.
Q: What are driving conditions like in Costa Rica?
A: The highways in Costa Rica are nothing like the super highways in North America. Some roads are paved but there are also several routes that are not. You will eventually come across some tricky, dirt roads.
Q: Do you guarantee rooms in all the hotels listed?
A: No, all spaces are subject to availability. A Free Pass specialist will contact you within 24 hours of placing your booking to confirm your itinerary details.
Q: While in Costa Rica, do I have to call you in order to make a hotel reservation?
A: No, you will be provided with a hotel list with locations and phone numbers so you can call the hotels directly. As a backup, you can reach our specialists at 8511-2831 and we will gladly assist you.
Q: Does the price include tours as well?
A: No, the price includes the following: Transportation, lodging, breakfast in some hotels, and all taxes. Tours can be booked in advanced on our website, or you can reach our tour specialists at 4000-1886 when in Costa Rica.
Q: What happens if I choose not to go to the hotel, or I wish to change hotels?
A: For any changes or cancellations, the standard hotel reservation conditions will apply. A 72 hour notification is required or you will lose your reservation along with your voucher no longer being valid.
Q: Does the triple room include three beds?
A: Almost all hotels in Costa Rica offer 'two double bed' rooms as, "Triple rooms". This means two people to one bed. Please contact us for special requests and possible adjusted rates.
Q: Are all taxes included in the price?
A: Yes, all taxes for your service and lodging are included in the price. You are responsible for only the airport departure tax which must be paid in person at the International Airport on your day of departure.
Q: What happens if I lose my voucher?
A: Call the office immediately so we can provide you with a new block voucher.
Q: What types of currencies are accepted in Costa Rica?
A: The currency in Costa Rica is called, Colon pronounced, KO-LOAN. US Dollars are accepted. Euros are accepted as well in some hotels, but we recommend exchanging them at either the hotel desk, or the Central Banks in San Jose. Banking hours are typically 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
Q: What is the climate like?
A: Costa Rica's climate is tropical all year round. December to March is generally known as the "summer" or dry season and April to November, "winter" or rainy season. A good rule of thumb is to always come prepared for both dry and wet conditions.
Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Animals are not permitted on the shuttles or most hotels.
