Children: Ages 5 and up are permitted to ride on the back of their parents. Minimum age to operate the ATV is 16 years old with driver’s license.
Restrictions: No prior ATV riding experience is necessary. Our Flamingo ATV tour guides will show you the basics and get you comfortable before we hit the trails. Most ATV rentals in Costa Rica require a valid driver’s license as most Costa Rica ATV tour routes require some highway driving. People with back and neck injuries should not participate and all guests will be asked to sign a waiver prior to departure.
Insider Tip: If you are staying in Papagayo, you really need to venture out and explore all the beaches to the South of Papagayo. Playa Conchal is absolutely stunning and everyone should visit. But Flamingos beach, where the ATV departs from is a great little beach town to explore too. So it is the perfect place to start and finish the tour. And no vacation in Guanacaste would be complete without a visit to the iconic Tamarindo Beach. We definitely recommend driving yourself or getting an Uber and staying a while after the tour. Ask the guides for local restaurant recommendations and all their favorite local spots.
